Will Higman will put 25 years of Off Road Racing in the record books at the upcoming SCORE Tecate Baja 1000. Higman’s first off road race was the 1981 Baja 1000 at 19 years old. Now 44 years old and much more experienced Higman looks forward to the future. “I have never been in such a good position to win races” said Higman. “We finally have our car dialed in after a couple years of development”. Finishing second place twice out of the last three Baja 1000’s Higman is considered one of the favorites in the highly competitive Class 10 field.
With the 2006 Baja 1000 fast approaching, Higman and his team are fully prepped and ready to race. The team consists of a small tight knit group that has been racing together for twenty plus years (link to team section) His Reliable Lumber Slime Crocodile is prepared by Kreger Fabrication of Orange, CA. The race car is powered by a Wik’s racing Honda engine and the top speed at this race will be 105 MPH plus.
Please come back to the website in early December for a full race recap and an updated picture gallery. At this time Higman will also be announcing some special plans for 2007!
